The essay must be submitted on the day of competition in the stipulated time. The date of Essay competition will be on 10th September 2023. On that day, ten topics will be given on the website or sent to the emails of the participants who have registered for NLEC- 2023, out of the ten topics one topic will be attempted by the participant/s with a time limit. The participants need to submit the essay before the submission time.
· The essay must be submitted in a .doc/.docx Format to contactjurists@gmail.com or avadesh@juristsglobal.com.
· A separate word file must be sent, including a brief description of the author(s).
· The author(s) shall receive an acknowledgement email on the receipt of the essay by the Jurists Global within 24 to 72 hours of the submission.
· The minimum contribution for the registration will be Rs. 500/- for a single author and Rs. 700/- in case of co-authorship for Indian Students pursuing their studies in Indian Law colleges and universities. For Indian students who are pursuing their studies in universities outside India has to pay USD 50 for their registration. For Non-Indian students the Registration fee is USD 70 if single author USD 100 If co-author registration.
· The Application Fee/ Contribution for the Registration are completely non-refundable and in no case, it will be refunded to the applicants.
(Jurist Global Interns are not required to pay the registration amount and If you are working as the Law Campus Ambassador for Jurists Global in India, you will get a cash back of 200 INR and If you are working as the Law Campus Ambassador, you will get USA 20 Cashback).

1. Who is eligible to participate in the competition?
Any person, Indian Nationals or Non-Indian National, who is pursuing law (UG or PG) in India or abroad is eligible to participate in this essay competition. Any person who has completed his law degree in the last three years and practicing as an advocate of any courts in India or abroad and/ or registered in any Bar Councils of Indian states or abroad are eligible to participate.
2. Is there any registration fee for the competition?
Yes, the registration fee for a single author/ Indian student participant is Rs. 500/-.
The registration fee for co-authorship of Indian student participants is Rs 700/-. (Co-authorship of up to two authors is allowed.) The detailed Registration Fee are as below:

4. Where should I submit my essay for the competition?
The essay should be submitted via mail to contactjurists@gmail.comor avadesh@juristsglobal.com on the essay writing competition date i.e., 10th September 2023. Please note that we will not accept your essay if you are writing and sending below that. You will be giving topics and time on 10th September 2023 and within the stipulated time you need to submit your essay on the link provided to you on mail or on website.
5. What should be the format of the essay (PDF/Word)?
The essay can be submitted either in .doc or .docx format. We do not accept any other format and you should not lock the document at the time of saving it.
6. How will I receive confirmation that my essay has been received?
The author(s) shall receive an acknowledgement email on the receipt of the essay by Jurists Global within 24- 72 hours of the submission.
7. What are the guidelines for writing the essay and the maximum word limit for the essay?
- On the day of essay competition, we will publish ten questions related to all the three categories and the candidates need to attempt only one topic and write on that topic on a stipulated time. Three hours will be given to all the participants and within that time period they need to submit. It will be an open-source competition, so the participants can do the research and write on the topic. But we have zero tolerance on plagiarism, so all the participants need to take proper care to avoid plagiarism in their writing.
v The manuscript shall possess Times New Roman font with justified alignment, font size 12 and line spacing of 1.5.
v Authors should restrict their submissions between 1800-2000 words (exclusive of endnotes).
v It should be ensured that the manuscript sent is original and does not infringe the copyright of any person/institute, etc.
v The subject of the mail should read: “Submission- JG India Essay Writing Competition.
v The essay must be submitted in a .doc/.docx format to contactjurists@gmail.com or avadesh@juristsglobal.com.
8. Is it mandatory to include footnotes in the essay?
No, authors should preferably use hyperlinks within the text to cite the resources instead of footnotes. If hyperlinking the resources is not possible, authors may use Oxford Standard OSCOLA (4th edition) or any uniform citation style to cite authorities as endnotes.

2. Is it true that we can visit the USA?

3. Which place we will get an internship opportunity USA or Canada?
The first 15 (including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd) will get paid internship opportunities at Jurists Global in the USA @ USD 200/tenure and the next 15 will get the paid internship opportunity at Jurists Global in Canada @ CAD200 /tenure and the rest will be interned at Jurists Global, India, based on the interview, 4000 INR/ Tenure. It is an online/ Hybrid/ remote mode internship not offline, hence all the interns can work ease from their residing places.
4. What is the duration of the internship program?
The internship will be for a period of 2 months but can be extended or revoked based on performance.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE
6. Who will be the judges of this competition?
The essays will be judged by a panel of legal experts, renowned educationalists and professionals selected by Jurists Global.
1. When will the Essay Writing Competition be held?
The Essay Writing Competition is tentatively scheduled to take place on the 10th of September, 2023. Please note that the date is subject to change without prior notice, but all applicants will be informed well in advance if any changes occur.
2. What are the rules for the Essay Competition?
The Essay Writing Competition is an open-source competition with a time limit. Participants will be provided with ten topics from three different categories. Ten minutes after receiving the topics, participants can choose any one topic from the provided list and write an essay. The essays must have a word count of no less than 1800 and no more than 2000 words. Participants are required to submit their essays within three hours. Essays received after the stipulated time will not be considered.
3. How will the topics be sent to the participants?
On the day of the competition, i.e. 10th September 2023, the topics will be sent to all participants or it will be published on our website. There will be ten topics related to the three categories, the participants need to attend any one and submit via the chosen communication method.
4. Can participants choose their own topic for the essay?
Yes, participants can choose any topic from the list of ten topics provided to them. They have the freedom to select the topic they feel most comfortable writing about.
5. What happens if participants submit their essays after the stipulated time?
Essays submitted after the designated three-hour time frame will not be considered for evaluation. It is important for participants to ensure they submit their essays within the given timeframe to be eligible for the competition and get evaluated their essay to see them as winner. In exceptional cases, participants may request for 30 minutes extra time in well advance, and may submit their essay during or before the completion of that extra time.
6. Why do at National Level Essay Competition, International University students and International Non-Indian students participate?
As the internships are of international level, to equip with the need of the work, we encourage and permit global talents to participate in the NLEC 2023.
7. Are the international student be equally evaluated with the national student participants.
Yes. Being the international participants, they are less acquainted with Indian laws, for international law topics they will be treated equally.
